North West Ambulance Service Go Live with the NHS Ambulance Radio Programme’s Control Room Solution!
The NHS Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) are pleased to announce North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has gone live with the new Control Room Solution (CRS). This is part of ARP’s national deployment of the new Frequentis LifeX application which will be utilised throughout all Ambulance Services in England, Wales and Scotland. The new solution provides critical multimedia communications from the Emergency Control Rooms to the Operational Crew in the field.
Vicky Greenman – ARP CRS Implementation Manager;
“I have been working with NWAS for the past few years in preparation for the transition to LifeX. The hard work and dedication from all concerned paid off and NWAS are now fully live with their new system. Feedback from the Trust’s user within the EOC’s has been excellent. The Trust commented that the transition from legacy ICCS to LifeX was ‘A Pretty Perfect Migration’.’’
Peter Ballan – NWAS Head of Integrated Contact Centres Operations & CRS Project Lead;
“NWAS had a full plan that had been agreed with ARP to deliver the transfer across to CRS, this was following a number of months’ worth of work completed with the ARP project team to ensure that everything would go smoothly. The plan worked extremely well and the migration was completed across three control centres simultaneously on one night shift. The migration was considered by ARP to be the most complex that they had undertaken so far due to there being three Point of Presence (PoP) sites of the legacy equipment and the transition was required over a short period of time compared to other Trusts completed due to the expected high activity of the North West. As the project lead for NWAS, I would like to thank all stakeholders involved with the project for their diligence and commitment to the project that delivered an on time plan in a safe manner.”
Andy Madge – Frequentis UK Managing Director;
“We are pleased that, with North West Ambulance Service Trust, we have now transitioned six of the 13 Trusts to the Frequentis LifeX multimedia communication solution. Our solution is designed to meet the highest demands of mission-critical emergency use cases providing control room staff cutting-edge communication and location technology, significantly benefiting their lifesaving work through increased visibility, improved coordination, and a more integrated response. As always, the collaboration of our teams has been instrumental in the successful delivery of this project. The focus is on a seamless transition for each Trust and we are very proud to have fulfilled the requirements in terms of technology and services.”
ARP would like to thank our Suppliers Frequentis, Airwave & SSS for their support during the rollout!
